Next week marks a new phase of work on the Rio Road grade-separated intersection project that will require nightly closures of the Rio Road crossover at Route 29. During the closures traffic on Rio Road will not be able to cross Route 29 or make left turns onto Route 29.The work involves excavation and construction of the abutments on which the bridge beams will rest when they are placed next summer. Once the area is ex stanley polska cavated pilings will be sunken into the ground to form the foundation for the bridge. All lanes and traffic movements will be restored by 6 a.m. each morning.During the nightly closures left turns from Route 29 onto Rio Road will also be prohibited. Through traffic traveling north and south on Route 29 will be maintained.聽 Right turns will be permitted from Route 29 onto Rio Road and from Rio Road eastbound to Route 29 southbound.Business entrances on Route 29 north and south of the intersection, and on Rio Road east and west of Route 29, will remain open during the utility wor stanley canada k.
