Flight International online news 12:20: Airbus kicked off the NBAA annual convention by unveiling the latest addition to its corporate jetliner range ACJ , announcing it had already sold three to its first customer.Introducing the A adidas samba og 318 Elite, which is based on the companys smallest airliner, Airbus vice-president executive and private aviation Richard Gaona, said: The A318 Elite crowns a very successful year for us, in which we have made important inroads into executive charter, airline, corporate and government markets. The A318 Elite will be an entry-level airliner to the ACJ family. Gaona says Airbus is offering the A318 Elite as a completed product only, in partnership with Lufthansa Technik. There is a choice of two cabin layouts seating up to either 14 or 18 passengers, with seats and settees clustered in several lounge areas throughout the cabin. Both will be able to fly non-stop from London to New York, offering true intercontinental capability, he says.The first A318 Elite customer is Swiss-based VIP charter operator Comlux. Its three Elites will seat 16 passengers, divided into three rooms 鈥?guest area, executive lounge and private room. The first is due to be delivered in early 2007.The A318 Elite has a range of up to 4,000nm 7,400km , and is off nike dunk ered with either CFMI or Pratt Whitney engines with 23,300lb 100kN and 23,800lb thrust, respectively. Fortissimo Films has picked up worldwide rights to Anand Gandhis The Ship Of Theseus, which is taking part in the Work-in-Progress Lab at Film Bazaar Nov 24-27 in Goa. The film is the highly-anticipated feature debut of Gandhi 鈥?an acclaimed playwright and short filmmaker. His previous films include Right Here Right Now, which won best short at the Syracuse International Film Festival and screened in competition at Tribeca and Rome.The deal with Fortissimo, for worldwide rights outside South Asia, was concluded at Film Bazaar. Fortissimo acquisition executive Chris Paton met Gandhi and his team at last years Film Bazaar and has been working with the filmmakers since then. Fortissimo will also act as co-producer on the film.Written and directed by Anand Gandhi, The Ship Of Theseus explores the moral dilemmas faced by three disparate individuals 鈥?an experimental photographer, an ailing m hydro jugs onk and a young stockbroker 鈥?who unknowingly have a connection.Produced by Mukesh Shahs Ridhi Sidhi Films, the film stars Egyptian filmmaker and actress Aida El-Kashef, upcoming talent Soham Shah and veteran theatre artist Neeraj Kabi.Paton said: I met Anand last year when he showed me 12 minutes of footage of his film.
